About The Event

The 2025 LCCS Restorative Practice Conference, themed "Singapore – A Restorative Nation", envisions a society where relationships, community, and justice intersect to build a stronger, more cohesive nation. In this conference, we celebrate Singapore’s journey for almost three decades toward embedding restorative principles into its social, educational, and judicial frameworks. This conference also serves as a call to action for further collaboration and innovation in this transformative movement.

Our Post Conference Special, "Circles of Life – Sharing Stories, Shaping a Nation", invites all attendees to come together in smaller groups, each circle acting as a microcosm of our broader community. Find out more about this pivotal moment in our journey toward building a more inclusive, compassionate, and restorative society here.

Dream With Us

As Singapore continues to evolve as a global city-state, the theme invites participants to explore how these principles can be woven into the fabric of everyday life, creating a society that values empathy, equity, and reconciliation.

Over 4 keynote sessions and 16 presentations, this conference will bring together thought leaders, practitioners, educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders to share best practices, discuss challenges, and co-create solutions rooted in dignity and our shared humanity.

OUR PAST CONFERENCES

Keynote Speakers -

Terry 2.jpg

Terry O' Connell

Retired Director of Real Justice Australia

Terry O’Connell is an Australian restorative justice pioneer. He has provided restorative training to diverse professions, including counsellors, psychologists, youth workers, police and correction officers, teachers and social workers. A strong advocate for explicit restorative practice, Terry’s influence has resulted in some ‘cutting edge’ practice in education, youth work and aged care.

Razwana.jpg

Dr Razwana Begum

Senior Lecturer, Criminology

Singapore University of Social Sciences

Dr. Razwana Begum believes that every individual has the potential to succeed. Despite the fact that some may not get the opportunity and others, may have ignored the chance to excel. Whatever it may be, in a society, she believes that we are all responsible, and we should, if and when we are given an option, lift one another to a higher ground. With support and a little nudge, any individual can break any barriers and move forward in life.
